I listen to all type of music, rock/ rap / pop / indie / etc. etc. But when it comes to shaking a leg or working out, pop songs are the shit !

So my flat-mate, who is known for his eating abilities is thinking of losing some weight and asked me to make a playlist for him. And it turns out that he likes pop too. So I made up a list of 2009 songs which I liked the most and are suitable for working out. The list goes :-

  • Just Dance – Lady Gaga
  • Obsessed – Mariah Carey
  • Sweet Dreams – Beyonce
  • Fire burning – Sean Kingston
  • Right round – Flo Rida
  • Empire State of Mind – Jay-Z
  • Beautiful – Akon
  • So What – Pink
  • I gotta feeling – The Black eyed Peas
  • Hotel Room service – PitBull
  • Right now – Akon
  • Boom Boom pow – The black eyed peas
  • I know you want me – PitBull
  • 3 – Britney spears
  • Poker face – Lady Gaga
  • Down – Jay Sean
  • Sexy chick – david guetta

I am looking for more songs to make this list the Ultimate Gym/Workout collection of 2009 ;) Suggestions in comments please.

7 months in corp life, and life has taken a 180 degree turn. 2009 must be the most happening year of my life.  Leaving my second home, leaving all my friends behind in hyderabad and coming to bangalore was the most difficult decision I must have taken. Back then, my plan was clear 2-3 years in the company and woooshing away for MS/PHD. I wanted to get back to improving my coding skills by doing topcoder/spoj and other websites. And wanted to stay away from relationships for a while. Basically, become a uber g33k ( i.e more than I was back then :P ).

Plan was nice and implementable, and for one month I might have followed it too. But things started to change, the first major change was finding a good friend in my room-mate Shyam and getting introduced to his huge social circle in Bangalore. The second major change was getting a Bike, and zooming around in the city during the night. The time spent online started decreasing drastically to the point that now I am mostly online only in the office even though I have internet at home.

2009 has been an year of change for me.I became socially more confident, I was no longer the shy geek. From sitting around in IRC rooms to pubbing/disc’ing every weekend. From watching the download bar to watching the speed bar on my bike. From planning of going to an MS to liking the whole software engineering process. From thinking of staying away from relationship to having 2 flings. From staying in hyd fro 19 years to covering lots of parts of Tamilnadu,Kerala,Karnataka in trips. From having 1-2 female friends to having majority of my friends as females.

2009 was a roller coaster ride for me.  But along with the ups there were lots of downs too, but I guess you can’t be perfect ;) .
Now when I look back at some of my friends in hyderabad and  look at myself, I guess I took the right decision.

PS: please note its “some” of my friends and not “all”

PS1: And I know 2010 would be awesomer
PS2: I am not leaving ( or planning to ) Bangalore atleast for 5 years.
PS3: Old is definitely Gold, But New is Platinum :P
PS4: Once a g33k, always a g33k

PS: Someone reminded me that my blog is dead ! So here goes :)

PS1: For se n00bs, P1 bug is a priority 1 bug

To be frank, I had to use firefox’s spell correction for getting the spelling right for Evangelist . My two roomies PK and ShyamP are both technical evagelists of Adobe. That kind of got me curious about evangelism. To put in simple terms, Technical Evangelism is basically promoting any softwares/Developer tools/other stuff your company makes  by using them and showing the whole world how easy/awesome it is to use the software/tools etc, thus getting more users/customers for your Company.

But there is a downside about this job too, you never get to develop softwares/tools etc. you will basically use them and create beautiful apps. If this seems okay, evangelism is the job you would want to do !

Now the question comes to me, I am not a Evangelist, I am a Software Developer. I develop software/tools/platforms etc.  I love my job, but I also like the idea of evangelism :) .  Thus I have decided to become an Evanglist by choice, enjoying fruits from both job positions ( i.e  I can develop and also promote ).

So you guys might be seeing a lot of  tutorials/howtos/demos /infos etc. of the awesome work which is going on in Yahoo!

PS: If you go by the defination I was always an OpenSource Evangelist :)

PS2: And the biggest Opensource Evangelist in our college must be Kulbir Saini .

PS3: Has found a reason to re-start his almost dead blog !

It has been about 2 and half months in bangalore/corp. life. Life has seriously changed a lot.

  • From waking up at any freaking time to waking up at 7:00 am, thanks to the uber-awesome banagalore traffic.
  • From continuously refreshing Google reader/the superficial/etc. to not even finding time to checking to check students mail weekly
  • From eating dinner with a group of 6-8 to waiting for your roomate to give you company.
  • From lazing around on sundays/saturdays to exploring new places in bangalore
  • From drinking in a blue moon light to drinking every weekend
  • From ranting about girls in IIIT to worshiping brigade road and forum

The worst thing now is that I have lost touch with most of  the people I used to meet daily. I am back to square one, finding good friends is a tough task. Best friends are far away in hyderabad, and I miss them whenever I am alone ( coming back from office in cab or going to office in cab).  I want to start blogging again, probably get back to hacking things around ( given that I work on 3 different OSes daily ).

Work is great,  people are brilliant, but still work is work and office is an office. Will write a post on my experiences with bangalore very soon.

Sitting in a bus after a long time, Rahul got reminded of his college life. His sight fell on a college kid who was foot boarding. Feeling nauseated, he stood on the footboard . Air was blowing through his hair. And..

PICHAAKKKK

He got reminded how much he hated Paan and people who eat paan.

The team which had dominated the sport for nearly a decade got reminded of their situation back in 1996.

ChooManthar joined their team along came his experienced team including rawen in 1996. ChooManthar retired and rawen left in 2006.

This season they are point-less in the first two races. Are they back to square one?
